Gemma Collins in new Netflix Crossover
To promote the release of Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black Series Six, self-proclaimed Queen of Essex Gemma Collins managed to book herself a stay in Litchfield prison which was filmed and scripted with cast members. This was not only shared on Gemma’s social media accounts but also sold into media. Gaining national coverage and mass conversation. A really funny stunt tapping into what people are talking about.

Now TV creates massive Jeff Goldblum
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park Now TV erected a giant 25ft statue of cult icon Jeff Goldblum in front of Tower Bridge paying homage to one of the hottest memes out there. It is a classic stunt no doubt but there is no way you could have missed this on social or online yesterday.

Batwoman: lesbian superhero gets her own TV show
The CW announced that the next superhero show on the slate which already includes Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Black Lightning. Will be Batwoman – the first lesbian superhero. She is described as a woman “armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind”. Batwoman has been the highest-profile openly gay character in any DC comic and with this could be the first ever LGBT lead of a live-action superhero show.

X-Factor new panel announced
The line up had been bubbling up on the surface for a while now but it was officially announced this week. Simon Cowell will stay on his seat on the judging panel but also taking a seat at the top table will be Louis Tomlinson with husband and wife Robbie Williams and Ayda Field. Only time will tell if this boosts viewing figures.
