Doom 25

On December 10th 1993 the original Doom launched, and 25 years later to celebrate it’s getting an update! John Romero has created a free new ‘megawad’ called Sigil which contains nine new single and multiplayer levels for the classic title.

Creative industries funding dedicates chunk to games sector

The creative industries are getting a £20 million boost in government funding, including support for the games industry!£200,000 has been allocated to the Digital Schoolhouse, which is run by UKIE to teach the next generation of game creators, and 190,000 is going to the UK Games Fund to build on the new pitch development programme – helping independent companies gain access to UK Games Fund grants.
