The Wizard Will See You Now 

After research has been conducted in Italy by the University of Turin – it has been declared that The Wizard of Oz is the most influential film ever made, because of how much it has inspired and been referenced in the film industry. This has led to an extended list of the top 20 most influential films ever made which includes Star Wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Casablanca.

Place Your Bets for Secret Cinema

As for this morning Secret Cinema has announced its next immersive cinema experience and it’s taking on James Bond, one of the most successful British film franchises ever. Secret Cinema has successfully recreated a number of expectational cinema experiences in the past including Blade Runner, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet and Star Wars. The evnt will open on 29 May 2019 and will run in to the summer.

Empire’s 30 Most Adventurous Filmmakers Announced

As Empire approach their 30th anniversary, the film magazine has named its 30 most ambitious and adventurous film makers celebrating having worked on the biggest and best movies Hollywood has to offer. Steven Spielberg as topped the leader board as number one,  the list also includes a number of acclaimed filmmakers including Christopher Nolan, Jordan Peele, Patty Jenkins, Wes Anderson and Danny Boyle.
