Take a beak behind-the-scenes of Alfred’s Storks campaign
17th March 2017
The Alfred team flew into action for the February half term release of hilarious family animation, Storks. Every parent knows the awkward moment when their child asks ‘where do babies come from’? But we wanted to hear directly from the children themselves, sparking their stories about ‘that’ conversation and plenty of laughs with online parenting communities. To do this we hosted a special screening for parenting influencers, celebs and their families, immersing them in all things Storks to create the perfect environment for the kids to tell us what they really think…
The kids came up with some adorable explanations from ‘through the belly-button door’ to a slightly more bizarre response of ‘under the ground’. From this we created a cute video which was then seeded through parenting networks and social pages including Mother and Baby’s Facebook, Magic Mums Facebook and many more!
Top parenting influencers including Travel Mad Mum, Mother Pukka and London Mamma all tweeted plus well known faces from TV including Sophie Blake, Insta-storied throughout. The mums definitely shed some tears from a cuteness overload whilst the kids got stuck in creating special arts and crafts.
Engaging kids directly can prove tricky, but we worked some magic to secure a massive three pages in The Sun’s Fun supplement, a double page spread and front cover feature on Cute Magazine as well as spot the difference in First News. It wasn’t just the kids that fell in love with Storks, we also secured rave reviews in the Mirror, Daily Star, The Sun, Closer, Heat and Bella.
Continuing the buzz we created hilarious and engaging social content for the Storks Facebook page. Speaking directly to parents we created content to make them laugh and keep the kids busy over half term.
