Alfred shows the UK How To Be Single

30th June 2016

It’s been cocktail emojis and #SquadGoals all round for our Home Entertainment launch of Warner Bros.’ How To Be Single, the latest NSFW film from rowdy Rebel Wilson.

With the objective of reaching the young female audience with fun, relatable and empowering content, we’ve driven the campaign through social… emojis, memes, GIFs and Snapchat? We’ve used them all and even placed exclusive interview content with the film’s lead guys on Comedy Central’s Snapchat Discovery channel, hitting our core audience on the social platform du jour. Keeping it fun, young (in spirit) and light hearted, we even put our pun hats on and got creative with footy inspired chat-up lines, after identifying the Euros as the ultimate time for single ladies to hit the pub. When it comes to #ThirstyThursday, #MondayFear and hangovers from hell… well, we’ve got a meme for that.

Securing reviews coverage in the women’s titles was a given for this campaign, but two full page spreads in Closer and Heat featuring Rebel herself, plus a host of online and broadcast placements knocked expectations out the park. We kept the upbeat and playful tone across all our press office, check out 10 Life Lessons from Rebel Wilson or the ultimate on-screen #GirlSquads, for a flavour of the loud and proud content we’ve created.

The real #Goals moment came in the form of an exclusive cocktail reception and screening event in partnership with StyleHaul. Held at a glammed-up Warner Bros., HQ, the event was attended by some of the UK’s top fashion and beauty Youtubers including Jennie Jenkins, Nina Vee and Tyler West to name just a few, who kept followers updated with social posts throughout the night.

If you’re a fan of partying hard or are looking for the best hangover cures known to man, check out How To Be Single on Blu-ray and DVD now.
