Alfred goes on tour with American Freshman
23rd April 2015
Last month we hit the road with our client, American Freshman, a fashion brand that create clothes inspired by university freshman life, on the first leg of their Big Yellow Bass Bus Tour. The bus tour is all about raising awareness of American Freshman to University students throughout the UK, will multiple stops over a two-month period. Our first stop… Southampton University!
As cool as they are, this wasn’t any old American school bus, we took it to another level by kitting it out as the ultimate roof top stage, with top of the range speakers, a pop up shop selling American Freshman apparel and a stall providing yummy breakfast treats from the famous, Cereal Killer Café.
After we pitched up on the Southampton campus, the event really got going, with a performance from One Bit and DJ sets by Bitr8, K1R3Y and the legendary, DJ Yoda, who’s showstopping set really got the crowd pumped and sent them off in style for the Easter break.
The glorious sunshine added the perfect backlighting for us to capture snaps of the event. On site, we encouraged students to enter the ‘selfie’ competition where we asked them to pose in front of the bus using #LiveTheLife. The winner won some awesome American Freshman products but also tickets to an upcoming music gig with a top artist.
American Freshman ripped the roof Southampton Students Union, and we achieved 27,100 page impressions in one day on American Freshman’s Facebook and Twitter pages and a staggering engagement rate of 40% on posts from students who were at an event. A good day all round, plus we got to relive our student days and have a couple of drinks at the SU!
