For the last couple of weeks something exciting has been in the works at Alfred. As part of our ongoing press office work for Escape Studios (an academy that teach students in the art of film-making and specifically VFX, Animation and Gaming), we secured an in-depth broadcast package on flagship technology show Sky Swipe, which airs on Sky News.

We worked together with Sky Swipe to create a feature package that highlights and showcases the booming British VFX and film industry, looking at what it takes to make it as a VFX superstar, focusing on the education you receive at Escape Studios. As part of the suite of content we secured interviews with Head of 3D at Escape Mark Spevick, compositing student Penelope Pochez, and also negotiated a demo of the latest technology VR with key industry partner Hamilton+Kidd to highlight Escape’s VR course.

The finished piece, which aired numerous times across the weekend, was packed with lots of visual and verbal credits for Escape Studios and no less than six tweets. Great work from the team, you can check out the whole show here!
